Our History

The group was founded in 1942 when the country was fighting for its liberty, hence the name.

In the early days they performed their plays in any space available, mostly around the army camps in the area. They also entered and won countless Drama festivals.

After the war when Rhyl was once more able to cater for holidaymakers the Society presented plays almost on a weekly basis in the Town hall for the benefit of visitors and residents alike.

Later the Rhyl Pavilion and Coliseum Theatre were also used for productions.
